A Michigan State Police trooper was dragged more than 60 feet during a traffic stop, but was not injured.

A Michigan State Police trooper was dragged some 60 feet after pulling someone over in metro Grand Rapids Tuesday, police say.

The trooper was not hurt, police say.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. on the off-ramp from southbound US-131 to Turner Avenue in Walker.

The trooper pulled a car over on the ramp. The trooper walked up to talk to the driver, at which point the driver tried to take off, MSP says, dragging the trooper more than 60 feet.

The driver ultimately stopped and was arrested. Officers searched a black sedan. The sedan was later towed away and officers began to clear the scene.

Police say the driver was in illegal possession of a gun.

Iowa: A news release from the City of Bettendorf says officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance involving a knife in the 2600 block of Cypress Drive on Wednesday, May 21 at about 1:30 a.m. Officers found a 23-year-old man with a firearm when they arrived and gunfire was exchanged.

Officers rendered first aid and called for emergency medical services for the man. The man was taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment for his injuries and his condition is unknown at this time. The officers were treated at the hospital and released.

This district has one of the largest liberal voter bases. They elected Socialist Jackie Fielder who is anti law enforcement now it is becoming the new Tenderloin. The non socialist in this district need to take a stand, the voters that voted in a Socialist should rethink their position.
