Body camera video captured Las Vegas police officers shooting and killing a gunman who had killed one and wounded several others inside a Las Vegas Athletic Clubs gym. This image shows an officer shooting the gunman as he ran out of the gym.

A gunman fired 24 rounds inside the LVAC gym, killing one, before his rifle malfunctioned, which Las Vegas police said averted a mass casualty event.

A Sheriff’s Department official confirmed on condition of anonymity that the person killed was a deputy who had just completed a double shift at North County Correctional Facility in Castaic and was driving home when he fell asleep at the wheel. The shift was reportedly 10 p.m. Sunday to 2 p.m. Monday.

NEW: Details are developing after reports say a helicopter made an emergency landing in Fort Washington, Montgomery County Monday, Pennsylvania.

Sources tell FOX 29’s Steve Keeley a PennSTAR 1 medical chopper was flying out of UPenn when it had to emergency land in Montgomery County.

The medical plane landed near Cannon Hill Road and Old Eagle Lane in Whitemarsh Township.
Multiple crews arrived at the scene.

Sources say everyone inside the plane exited safely.

Ohio: A Columbus Division of Police officer was among two people injured in a crash on the city's northwest side Monday evening.

Officers were called on a report of a three-vehicle crash around 7:45 p.m. at Olentangy River Road and King Avenue.

A dispatcher for the city's public safety department confirmed that one of the vehicles involved was a police cruiser.

An officer and another person involved in the crash were transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and are in "stable" condition.

Wisconsin: A Wauwatosa police officer fractured her tibia and was hospitalized after attempting to arrest a woman suspected of assaulting employees at the Target store near 124th Street and Capitol Drive on Thursday afternoon.

Prosecutors charged Tomara Stewart, 31, with resisting an officer and causing substantial bodily harm.

Investigators accuse Stewart of breaking Officer Ashley Trawicki's leg while resisting arrest. Stewart allegedly assaulted at least one worker inside the store before leaving and walking to a nearby bus stop, where Trawicki confronted her.

Trawicki was transported to a hospital with a fractured tibia.
