BREAKING: Retired four-star Navy Admiral Robert P. Burke, aged 63, has been found guilty on federal charges including bribery, conspiracy to commit bribery, acts affecting a personal financial interest, and concealment of material facts.

The conviction stems from a scheme where Burke, while serving as a four-star admiral in 2021, awarded a $355,000 sole-source contract to a New York-based company, Next Jump, for workforce training in Italy and Spain. In exchange, he secured a post-retirement job with Next Jump starting in October 2022, with a $500,000 annual salary and 100,000 stock options.

Burke retired in August 2022 as commander of US Naval Forces Europe and Africa, was the Navy’s former vice chief of naval operations and chief of naval personnel.

The bribery scheme involved Burke allegedly steering contracts to Next Jump’s co-CEOs, Yongchul “Charlie” Kim and Meghan Messenger, who were also charged in separate cases. Burke was accused of lying to the Navy about his role in the contract and the timing of employment discussions to conceal the scheme.

Burke faces up to 30 years in prison, though first-time offenders typically receive lighter penalties. This case marks him as the highest-ranking US military officer ever convicted of a crime.

We are now dealing with copycats, sending cryptic threats to public figures, using the “86” reference. Whether they turn out to be legitimate threats or not, taxpayer-funded public safety agents are going to have to run these all out and investigate them.

This is a reminder of the damage self-serving individuals, with a history of extremely poor judgement, can do when they fail to control their impulses.

Another SOB STORY from the media. Falcon is a confirmed TdA gang member, an illegal alien from Venezuela, and was arrested for assault of a child less than 17 years old.

The determination that he is member of Tren de Aragua has absolutely nothing to do with his tattoos. Tren de Aragua is one of the most violent and ruthless terrorist gangs on planet earth. They rape, maim, and murder for sport. President Trump and Secretary Noem will not allow criminal gangs to terrorize American citizens. We are confident in our law enforcement’s intelligence, and we aren’t going to share intelligence reports and undermine national security every time a gang member denies he is one. That would be insane.

Illinois: A Rock Island police officer suffered injuries while attempting to keep someone from stealing his squad during an arrest.

The officer was attempting to detain an 18-year-old man Monday afternoon in the area of 19th Street and 6th Avenue when the incident occurred, according to a Rock Island Police Department news release. As the officer struggled with the man, a 16-year-old teen got into the squad and tried to drive away.

The officer, who was not identified in the release, tried to stop the teenager and was dragged through a parking lot and fell from the vehicle.

The squad was a K-9 unit and the dog was in the kennel built into the vehicle at the time, but there were no firearms inside the squad, the release states.

The officer suffered injuries, but has since been treated and released from an area hospital.
