Georgia state trooper injured in car accident last night.

Trooper Jones was involved in a vehicle collision on Swamp road in waycross on May 7, 2025.

His vehicle ended up upside down in water.

He has been transported to memorial trauma center in Savannah.

We are happy to report The Trooper is alert and is doing well this morning.

We are sending prayers for a speedy recovery to Trooper Justin Jones. 🙏🏻

Los Angeles: On March 26, 2025, at approximately 8:45 pm, a suspect, later identified as Keyon Williams, reportedly pointed a possible rifle at passersby outside a residence located at 6400 block of South Figueroa Street. Seventy-seventh Street Patrol Division uniformed officers responded and located Williams at the front door of the residence. Williams refused to follow the officer’s commands to surrender and barricaded himself inside the location.

Additional resources were requested, and containment was established around the residence. Officers observed Williams holding what appeared to be a rifle and Metropolitan Division Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) responded to the location to assist. From inside the location, Williams pointed the possible rifle at SWAT officers, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting. Williams was struck by gunfire and submitted to arrest a short time later. While SWAT officers were clearing the location, they located two additional occupants.

One occupant was arrested for 69(a)PC-Resisting arrest, the other was questioned and released. Williams was transported to a local hospital where he received treatment for a gunshot wound to his left wrist. He was subsequently booked for 69(a)PC-Resisting Arrest.

No officers or community members were injured during this incident. The investigation determined Williams was in possession of a large plastic object, that resembled a rifle.

CCSO Deputy Involved In Deadly Force Incident

On May 7th, at around 10:58 p.m., Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle that crashed into two parked cars near NE 14th Court and NE Minnehaha Street in Vancouver. Deputies arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Deputies believed that the driver was possibly impaired and conducted a DUI investigation.

As part of the investigation, the subject was arrested and transported to the Washington State Patrol Scale House at 29317 Interstate-5 in Ridgefield, WA. The facility has a room equipped with a breath alcohol analyzer used for evidential breath alcohol measurements in DUI investigations.

They arrived at the Scale House at approximately 11:33 p.m. While in the breath test room at the Scale House facility, at around 11:58 p.m., a CCSO deputy reported over the radio that he was actively in a physical altercation with the subject. The deputy reported that the subject had attempted to take his firearm during the altercation, and the deputy stabbed the subject several times.

CCSO deputies, with the assistance of other agencies, attempted to provide first aid to the subject. A Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue ambulance arrived at the location. The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene at 12:39 a.m. on May 8th.

The CCSO deputy was not physically injured. The deputy is now on Critical Incident Leave, per standard protocol.

The information is preliminary, and this is an ongoing investigation. The Washington State Office of Independent Investigations (OII) will investigate the incident. As part of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Program, video captured by body-worn cameras will be reviewed and released at a later time.

In compliance with WAC 139-12, Clark County Sheriff’s Office personnel will not be involved in the independent investigation.

But guess what? The same people who created the problem are the ones promising to fix it.

We fall for it every election cycle. Then 4 years later—nothing changes.

🚨 Time to wake up. Time to hold leaders accountable. Time for real solutions.

I attended two parole hearings yesterday. Two murder cases. Two defendants serving life sentences who are up for parole.

And I do want to start off by saying I’m not against parole. I believe in forgiveness and rehabilitation. However, victims and their families must always be heard and the safety of the public must be the number one priority in granting parole.

How parole hearings work. It’s an all day thing. The life crime is discussed. Prison violations, if any, and rehabilitation efforts are discussed. The parole board members ask the murderer questions. Then the prosecutor gets to ask the board to ask the murderer questions. Then the defense attorney for the murderer gets to ask the murderer clarifying questions. Then the prosecutor gets a closing statement and victims’ families get to make statements as well or the prosecutor gets to make statements for the victims’ family and the public. Then the defense attorney gets to make a closing statement. Then the murderer gets to make a closing statement.

Without the prosecutor, and if the victims’ family was relying on the prosecutor to make a statement for them (which happens a lot), this hearing is very tilted to one side-the murderer. No one is there for the victim or the safety of our communities.

George Gascón not allowing prosecutors to attend parole hearings where murderers could be let free back into our communities was one of the most horrendous, unfair, unsafe and unforgivable policies he implemented. Those who supported him, and you know who you are, should be ashamed.

Not allowing prosecutors the right to speak up for the victims and their families and to not allow us to fight to make sure our communities are safe and justice is protected was sickening. It should never happen again.
