An NYPD officer was critically injured in a crash while rushing to respond to a 911 call in Brooklyn.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

According to police, a marked NYPD vehicle was traveling eastbound on Willoughby Avenue collided with a white Nissan Rogue traveling northbound on Walworth Street. It's unclear who hit whom.

Police say officers were rushing to a scene after cops got a 911 call for an armed man at Willoughby and Tompkins avenues.

One of the officers was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in critical, but stable condition. There is no word yet on the condition of the other officer.

Michigan: A Shelby Twp. police officer injured in rollover crash.

The officer's condition was not available Wednesday evening, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

UPDATE: Deputies responded to a residence in the 22100 block of Newport Ave, Grand Terrace, for an armed barricaded subject.
The subject refused to exit the home. The Specialized Enforcement Division responded to assist.
The subject was taken into custody without incident and no injuries were reported.

All road closures have now been lifted:
•Newport Ave & Canal St
•Vivienda Ave & Grand Terrace Rd
•Newport Ave & Grand Terrace Rd

The investigation is ongoing. More details to follow.

Michigan: A Warren police officer and another driver were injured in a vehicle crash on Wednesday.

The crash happened near the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Van Dyke. Police say the officer was leaving a shopping plaza after conducting a traffic stop and attempted to turn left onto Nine Mile Road.

Police say a dump truck and another vehicle on eastbound Nine Mile stopped to allow the officer to enter the roadway when a third vehicle, also traveling eastbound, collided with the officer. Police believe the driver and officer could not see around the dump truck.

The officer and the driver were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

NEW VIDEO: TxDPS Troopers arrested a human smuggler in Webb County after a high-speed chase. The female driver, Ruby Martinez of Laredo, tried to evade arrest and let an illegal immigrant bail out while the vehicle was still moving.

Troopers safely ended the pursuit using a PIT maneuver and took Martinez into custody. She now faces charges of evading arrest and smuggling of persons.

This is another example of how smugglers continue to endanger lives while trying to move illegal immigrants deeper into the country. Thanks to the dedication of our State Troopers, Texas DPS is taking criminals off the streets and protecting our communities.
