The Everett MA Police sadly announced the death of K9 Mary after a short illness with cancer.

K9 Mary had been part of the Everett Police Department for 8 years, working along side Officer DiNuccio. She came to us from the Department of Alcohol Tabacco and Firearms (ATF).

K9 Mary has assisted in numerous firearms and ballistics searches from the state of Maine down to Rhode Island, recovering numerous evidence along the way. K9 Mary's first search for the Everett Police resulted in the recovery of a shotgun which was used in a homicide in Everett.

Prayers for her partner, their family and the agency. 🙏🏽

BREAKING: Another F/A-18 fighter jet from the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier has been lost in the Red Sea, the second jet lost from the carrier in just over a week. The circumstances are unclear.

It is not entirely clear what happened yet, as the investigation is ongoing, but two of the people said there was some kind of arrestment failure as the jet was trying to land on the carrier and the pilot and weapons systems officer had to eject. They were recovered by a rescue helicopter and are both alive, but they suffered minor injuries, one of the people said.

The jet crashed into the sea and has not been recovered, two of the people familiar with the incident said.

Texas: A Pecos County Sheriff’s Deputy was shot in the line of duty Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop near downtown Iraan. The shooting occurred around 3:15 p.m., prompting an emergency response from multiple law enforcement agencies and a temporary school lockdown.

According to the Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA), the deputy was airlifted to Midland Memorial Hospital, where she underwent surgery. As of the latest update, she remains in serious but stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene, sparking a manhunt. Another crime scene was later identified about eight miles east of the original incident, where authorities located and arrested the suspect.
