LAPD News: FID investigating a shooting in Southeast Area.
No outstanding suspects or threats to the community. No officers or bystanders injured.

This is preliminary info: Around 9am, Southeast ofcrs responded to a Domestic Violence radio call in the 900 block of E. 118th Dr. The caller reported that the suspect was armed with a gun and possibly suicidal.

As ofcrs arrived to the call, they encountered that armed suspect and an officer involved shooting occurred. Susp, described as a male adult, was struck by gunfire and taken into custody.

Paramedics transported the suspect to the hospital for treatment; non life threatening injuries, listed in stable condition.

The Sunset Road Fire in North Carolina was quite active today. The wildfire is burning in Brunswick, NC in the Oak Island area. Last updated at 450 acres and 0% contained. Some evacuations ordered.

The fire has already seen 2 drone incursions that have grounded aviation resources, complicating suppression operations.

Edmond Police Department Officer Caleb Hodam was stabbed during a traffic. Officer Hodam is currently recovering in the hospital, and we are grateful to report that his condition is stable.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputy that was intentionally killed with a vehicle was identified as Deputy Larry Henderson. 

Deputy Henderson served for 33 years with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office as a Bomb Technician, Dive Team member, and Federal Task Force Officer. He retired at the end of 2024 and returned to serve as a Special Deputy.
