Oklahoma: One person died and a deputy was injured Wednesday afternoon following a water rescue in Pottawatomie County.

Officials with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office say first responders were called to the area near Highway 102 near Macomb after a vehicle was caught in flooded water.

Authorities said a Pottawatomie County deputy was swept away when they were attempting the rescue and was pinned against a fence. They were transported to a local hospital for injuries and hypothermia treatment, but are expected to be okay.

Four police officers were injured in Southeast Baltimore Tuesday morning while attempting to arrest a man who allegedly assaulted a teenager.

At around 10:38 a.m. on April 29, officers were flagged down by a 17-year-old male who reported being assaulted, police said. 

After getting a description of the suspect, police located the man later identified as 29-year-old Bryant Allen. 

Allen reportedly "assumed a fighting stance" and told police he "was not going anywhere."

He then attempted to flee and was pursued by officers, police said. During the chase, Allen allegedly punched an officer and continued to resist despite officers' use of mace and a Taser. 

Multiple officers sustained injuries before finally restraining Allen with shackles.

29-year-old Graham Hoffman was transporting 38-year-old Shanetta Bossell following a routine medical call from police on Sunday, April 27th, when he was stabbed in the chest, piercing his heart. Despite lifesaving efforts, Hoffman died from his injuries at North Kansas City Hospital.

💥The Federal Bureau of Investigation has reassigned several agents who were photographed kneeling with demonstrators during a 2020 protest in the wake of police killing of George Floyd, people briefed on the matter told CNN.

The reassignments, viewed as demotions by many inside the FBI, come nearly five years after the episode that ignited controversy inside the bureau. FBI officials offered no explanation for changing the roles to less coveted positions for the agents, according to sources.

The FBI declined to comment to CNN, citing its policy to not discuss personnel matters. Agents affected didn’t respond to requests for comment.
