NEW: The Texas Health and Human Services Commission released data showing that in November 2024, Texas hospitals spent $121.8 million in health care costs for illegal aliens.

That is just during one month. Earlier this year, Gov. Abbott signed an executive order requiring hospitals to ask patients about their legal status then share this data and report annually.  Hospitals around the state were expected to turn in their first months of data by March 1 and HHS says future reports will include full quarterly data.

Florida was the first state to do this—  last month, a report showed the state paid nearly $660 million in 2024 for health care costs for illegal aliens.

BREAKING: Miami Beach PD and Secret Service agents arrested a man connected to the theft of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s purse. Cristian Montecino, 51, is in Miami-Dade jail on an immigration hold. Noem’s purse was stolen in Washington DC last week. 

Picked up on 14th and Collins inside Walgreens Sunday afternoon, Montecino is one of two suspects in custody for the Easter Sunday DC theft of the Gucci bag belonging to the DHS Secretary. He was located during a Secret Service “investigative detail.”
