This morning, a caller reported someone spray painting cars near Decatur and Harmon Avenue within LVMPD SVAC

About one minute after the report, LVMPD’s AIR2 helicopter picked up the call from LVMPD dispatch. Moments later, AIR2 located the suspect and guided patrol officers to the exact location.

As you can see in the video, the suspect attempted to flee but was taken into custody without further incident. It’s tough to outrun the helicopter and officers!

Tennessee: An off-duty officer was injured after attempting to stop a shoplifter at a Walmart, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

MNPD said the off-duty Greenfield Police officer was working as a security guard for Walmart in the 5800 block of Nolensville Pike when he tried to stop a shoplifter.

While trying to stop the shoplifter, the off-duty officer deployed his taser. However, the suspect made it to a vehicle, a red Ford Escape with an unknown TN tag.

The off-duty officer, who was standing in front of the suspect’s vehicle, told them to stop, but the suspect then reportedly attempted to hit the officer with the car.

The officer then fired shots into the vehicle, MNPD said. At this time, there have been no walk-ins at any hospitals in Davidson County or any surrounding county with gunshot wounds.

MNPD said the off-duty officer was injured in the incident and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

DEVELOPING: Vermont State Police have confirmed that a Milton Police officer was shot and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries while responding to a report of a structure fire on Main Street in Milton.

First responders were at scene of reported structure fire when they were met by gunfire, according to officials.

State Police said the incident, which is still active, is now contained to the area of 78 Main Street. The incident is still being called "active and fluid" at this time.

OHV COLLISION
On Tuesday April 22, 2025, around 3:58P.M., two Morongo Basin Station deputies utilized their off-highway patrol vehicles in an attempt to locate a wanted felon who is known to frequent the unincorporated area of Joshua Tree. During the search, one of the off-highway patrol vehicles, occupied by one deputy, was involved in a traffic collision with a SUV in the area of Center Avenue and Shifting Sands Drive.

We are extremely thankful to the driver of the SUV who tended to our injured deputy and we sincerely appreciate all the well wishes received from our community members. We are relieved to report our deputy was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released. No other injuries were reported.

Our agency is cooperating with the California Highway Patrol who are conducting the traffic collision investigation. Although both deputies were certified in OHV patrol and were wearing protective equipment, our department will conduct a comprehensive internal review of the incident and ensure our personnel have the necessary training and understanding of equipment to help prevent future collisions. Our department remains committed to providing responsible policing and delivering the best service to our community.
