Easter Sunrise Service marks resilience in the wake of devastating LA fires.

A group of Westside churches came together for a meaningful sunrise service on the beach—marking the 48th year of the tradition. However, this year’s gathering looked different in the aftermath of the fires.

Heavenly Father, On this blessed Easter morning, we praise You for the victory of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Thank You for the cross, for the empty tomb, and for the promise of eternal life.

Because He lives, we have hope. Because He rose, we rise with Him 🙌 FREE, FORGIVEN, and FULL OF PURPOSE.

In Your holy and powerful name we pray,
Amen. 🙏🏽

Connecticut: A police officer has minor injuries after his cruiser was hit early Sunday morning, said the New Haven Police Department.

At 3:00 a.m., the New Haven officer was driving east on George Street to approach the Church Street intersection. While proceeding through a green traffic light, the officer’s cruiser was struck by a white BMW.

New Haven police said both occupants of the BMW fled the scene on foot, but moments later, the passenger returned and cooperated with investigators.

The officer was treated for minor injuries at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or, positive thoughts for his recovery. 🙏🏻

One of our more famous cases was the on-stage arrest of Jim Morrison, the lead singer for the Doors, on 12/9/1967 at the New Haven Arena (he was officially booked on 12/10) following a fracas before the show which continued on stage. He later immortalized the events in the song Peace Frog and his mug shot ended up as a poster on innumerable college dorm walls. The Arena was eventually torn down and the FBI building was constructed in its place.

Buen, a former deputy in Clear Creek County, was convicted after a second trial. Nearly a year ago, another jury convicted him of a misdemeanor for recklessly putting other officers in danger by opening fire. However, jurors could not agree on a murder charge or a charge of official misconduct. Prosecutor decided to try Buen again on a second-degree murder charge.

Tren de Aragua is an extremely violent, highly organized transnational gang. The FBI assesses some members of the Maduro regime have links to TdA members who look to use those ties to advance their criminal objectives. We stand by this assessment and consider TdA's presence a direct threat to our national security. Together with our law enforcement partners, we are actively working to identify, disrupt, and dismantle their networks. We will not allow foreign-backed criminal organizations to take root in our communities.
