*Press Release*

This morning around 7:00am Officer Galloway was struck by a motor vehicle directing school traffic and seriously injured. This incident happened at the intersection of Newmans Branch and Route 60. Officer Galloway sustained multiple injuries and is currently still in the hospital. This incident is under investigation by the West Virginia State Police.

We would like to thank the outpouring of support from the community. The food, phone calls, and much more. We have said it multiple times, but without our amazing community we can not do our job effectively. Thank You!

Starting tomorrow morning the school zone on Route 60 and Newmans Branch will start at 6:30am to 8:00am and from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. Do not be on your cell phones while driving and do not go over the 15mph posted speed limit. There will be strict enforcement during these times. We want to ensure that this type of incident does not happen again to another Officer or anyone that is in that area.

Make sure that you are paying attention to people walking around the area getting on buses, walking to the Pre-K, other parents dropping off children and to the Officers that are directing traffic.

During a press conference on Thursday, Eaton Fire survivors blasted State Farm for insurance payment delays.

Today we honored Hector Cuevas Jr., a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, loyal brother, and a highly respected law enforcement officer.

His love for his Lord and Savior shone brightly to all who knew him. Hector was both a warrior and a protector, and his commitment to that calling never wavered.

To those who knew him, it was clear: Hector’s family was his everything. They were his greatest joy, his proudest accomplishment, and his entire world.

To his family:
We will keep you in our prayers and hold you close in our hearts. Hector’s impact will never be forgotten.

To his law enforcement partners:
Remember the deep love and respect he had for each of you. He was a shining example of who we all strive to be.

Good night to all! 😴

As families across the nation gather to celebrate Easter, I extend my gratitude to the dedicated East Wing Staff for their tireless effort in preparing the upcoming White House Easter Egg Roll.

This cherished tradition, rooted in history since 1878, brings joy, storytelling, and laughter to America’s children.  I look forward to watching all of the smiles light up this memorable day, on Monday.

May this Good Friday inspire hope and faith for all Americans and our friends around the world.

Texas: On Thursday evening at around 6:07pm, Frisco Fire/EMS and Police sent numerous units to a reported shooting at a house in Frisco. The house belongs to the Metcalf family whose son was killed at the track meet. [Address has been left off for privacy reasons.] After units arrived on scene, they found the call to be a swatting hoax.

Swatting is the act of making false emergency calls to law enforcement, often by calling 911, to provoke a response.

There were no injuries.
