Alabama: A Huntsville police officer sustained minor injuries when a pursuit ended with a crash Wednesday night.

The caller told officers that neither the vehicle nor those inside it were familiar.

When officers arrived to investigate, the vehicle drove off. The driver then failed to pull over for the responding HPD unit, prompting a pursuit.

The car headed down University Drive, crossing the median at times. It turned onto Wayne Road, where HPD says it struck a patrol vehicle, injuring an officer.

Those in the fleeing car were arrested and the officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or, positive thoughts for his recovery. 🙏🏻
