ICYMI: Suspect shot and killed by police at the end of wild chase through Orange County.

A dangerous police chase through several cities in Orange County ended with a crash and a deadly police shooting. The suspect was initially wanted in a separate shooting in Anaheim.

West Virginia: A Milton police officer has been hit by a car while directing traffic at a school zone Thursday morning.

Cabell County Sheriff Doug Adams says the officer was struck near Milton Elementary School on Newman’s Branch Road just after 7 a.m.

Adams says the officer is alert at this time and is awaiting transport by ambulance. Any further details on his condition are unknown at this time.

Please pray for the Paulding County Sheriff's deputy who was shot in the line of duty this morning. 🙏🏻

Georgia: A welfare check at a home ended with Paulding County deputies involved in a shootout with a suspect.

The suspect’s mother called her work and reported that her son was acting erratically. Her work then called the sheriff’s office to check on her.

When deputies got to the home, the sheriff’s office said the woman’s son started firing.

Deputies returned fire and killed the suspect. One deputy was shot and taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

The sheriff’s office says the deputy is awake and talking and waiting for tests.
