Attorney General Pamela Bondi

Proud to be endorsed by San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus!

“As evidenced by the overwhelming passage of Prop 36, Californians have very little faith in Sacramento’s ability to keep our communities safe,” said Sheriff Dicus.

“We need new leadership in Sacramento. As our next Governor, Sheriff Bianco will prioritize our communities’ safety, and work hand-in-hand with our state’s sheriffs to ensure that law enforcement has the resources it needs to go after criminals.

I am proud to support Sheriff Bianco as he works to fix our state and reprioritize public safety.”

Sec. Duffy on encountering an attack on a Metro police officer yesterday in DC: "We have subway systems we invest billions of dollars to make sure riders can get to and from work safely... and it seems like a lot of cities have lost that focus. Washington, D.C. is trying to bring that back, but what I saw yesterday would indicate we have a long way to go to get to that place of safety."

Meanwhile, L.A. County remains ‘critically short’ on rainfall despite recent storms.

It may feel like it rained a lot last year – and it did – but not enough to satisfy L.A. County’s critical shortage of rainfall, officials say.  A news release issued Tuesday by Water for L.A. County indicates that the county captured nearly 12 billion gallons of stormwater over the past several months. Tuesday was the last official day of the storm season, which begins on Oct. 15 every year. But the 11.9 billion gallons of stormwater received are still not enough.
