Early Sunday morning, our officers were conducting a DUI investigation on Main Street when a second impaired driver crashed into two of our patrol vehicles. One of the patrol cars had the initial DUI suspect inside at the timeโ€”fortunately, they were not injured.

The two officers on scene were transported to Bozeman Health for evaluation. While they're expected to be okay, theyโ€™re understandably shaken. Weโ€™re grateful for their strength and resilienceโ€”and for the care provided by Bozeman Fire, AMR Bozeman Montana and Bozeman Health.

Montana Highway Patrol responded and led the second DUI investigation. The driver admitted to drinking, had an open vodka Red Bull in the car, and blew a .156 BAC. She was arrested and charged with three felony counts of criminal endangermentโ€”one for each officer and one for the original DUI suspect.

Traffic stops are unpredictable and can quickly become dangerous. This incident is a clear reminder of the risks our officers face in the line of duty.

There is no excuse to drive drunk. Itโ€™s not worth the risk. Call a friend, call a ride, or make a plan before you drink.

To our officers: thank you for your courage, your quick response, and your continued commitment to keeping Bozeman safe. ๐Ÿ’™

SWATTING is deadly serious. The potential for serious injury or death is high.
Iโ€™ve asked our team to double efforts to locate the people and/or groups behind it. Iโ€™m on the road in our field offices handling other sensitive matters but Iโ€™ll be monitoring progress and I hope to have some updates soon.

Violence galore across L.A.: Three people were stabbed in Reseda, including two in the neck; a man was arrested for making a false bomb threat at Coachella; a Monrovia man was sentenced to 30 years for horrific child abuse videos; a brazen $10 million jewelry heist rocked DTLA; and a triple shooting near Exposition Park left multiple people wounded. LAPD is investigating all incidentsโ€”anyone with info is urged to come forward.

Florida:  A police officer was recently injured in a late-night traffic stop next to Tacocraft in Coral Springs following the arrest of a convicted felon and his girlfriend.

Brandon Hill, 34, was arrested on April 4 after officers saw him speeding through Coral Springs at about 75 mph in a white Honda Civic, according to a police report.

The car ran a red light and attempted to escape officers by turning into an alleyway at 3240 University Drive.

When police stopped the car, Hill got out of the driverโ€™s side and began walking away, despite repeated commands from officers to stop.

He resisted officers and pushed one during a physical struggle, the report said.

Officers eventually brought Hill to the ground, where he continued to resist before being subdued.

One officer received cuts and bruising to his wrist during the arrest, the report said.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or, positive thoughts for his recovery. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
