Prayers for the Milledgeville Police officer who was stabbed in the line of duty last night. 🙏🏻

Georgia: On April 12th, 2025, at approximately 9:15pm, Milledgeville Patrol Officers responded to an incident in the 100 block of Moore Street, inside Milledgeville Estates Mobile Home Park. While officers were speaking with family members gathering information, the subject in question charged officers with a knife and stabbed one of the officer’s multiple times. While the subject was stabbing the officer, a second officer on scene then shot the subject.

Both the officer and subject were transported to area hospitals for treatment where they are both currently in stable condition.

Colorado: Arrest Made in Aurora Shooting That Injured Three.

On April 12 at about 7:22 p.m., APD responded to a shooting near E. Colfax Ave and Airport Blvd. A woman, man, and three children were inside a vehicle when an unknown suspect opened fire from another vehicle.

The woman, who was driving, and the man both sustained gunshot wounds—he with serious injuries, she with minor injuries. A 12-year-old child in the backseat suffered a superficial graze wound. Two other children were not physically hurt.

The shooting occurred after the victims reportedly traveled to Aurora to meet the suspects to sell them an item. After the suspects took the item and drove off, the victims began following them. Shots were fired by the suspect during that pursuit.

Investigators later located the suspect vehicle, a GMC Arcadia, parked at a home in the 1000 block of N. Jasper Street.

Surveillance was conducted by all three DART units, and after the vehicle left the residence, officers conducted a traffic stop near S. Peoria St and E. Mississippi Ave.

The driver, 18-year-old Christopher Campos-Anguiano, was taken into custody. After being interviewed at APD HQ, he was booked on 5 counts of attempted 2nd degree murder.

UPDATE: AFD said a two-story house sustained damage from "an unknown event" that caused the house to collapse. Authorities believe the collapse was caused by a gas explosion, possibly propane.

Three people were found inside the structure by AFD crews and pulled out. Those people were being treated by Austin-Travis County EMS medics. ATCEMS initially said there were reports of "multiple patients." One firefighter was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Firefighters were extinguishing small spots of fire within the collapsed debris.

Authorities have closed a large area near the home, while nearby residents have evacuated the area. One other home partially collapsed in the incident and multiple other homes were heavily damaged.

Florida: A Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck and dragged by a fleeing vehicle during a traffic stop attempt on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred on April 11th at approximately 2:00 p.m. in the area of US 19 and Beach Boulevard in Hudson. According to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, a deputy initiated a traffic stop when the driver of the vehicle accelerated towards the deputy as he approached. The vehicle struck the deputy and dragged him approximately ten feet before fleeing the scene.

The injured deputy was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Kansas City’s Mayor has made a vow that street lawlessness will not be tolerated after an officer was critically injured during a hit-and-run with an ATV.

Missouri: Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas announced on Sunday, April 13, that a KCPD officer has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home after he was run over by an ATV the previous evening.

“Last night, a reckless ATV driver caused injuries to a Kansas City police officer, mayhem on our streets, and continued to display the lawlessness that too many dirt bike, stunt drivers, ATV users, racers, and others display on streets in dense areas of our city,” the Mayor said in a statement. “We expect our officer to recover and pray he can return to normal service soon.”

Last week, Belle Isle police officer Jacob Tapia was injured after an illegal alien, Paula Hernandez Lazaro, crashed into his patrol vehicle as she was making an illegal left turn.

The crash occurred on April 3 when Lazaro failed to yield while turning left. In addition to the moving violation, Lazaro was charged with operating without a license. The impact was so severe that Tapia’s car went off the road and struck a tree and a fence. 

Tapia was treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center for minor injuries and released the same day, authorities said.

BREAKING: One person is in custody in relation to the fire set to to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s official residence in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, early Sunday, officials said at a news conference.

Cody Balmer is in custody and will be charged with attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson and aggravated assault against an enumerated person, Pennsylvania District Attorney Fran Chardo said at the news conference Sunday.

In a statement posted to social media, Shapiro wrote that his family woke up at 2 a.m. on Sunday to banging on the door from state police. He added that he and his wife, Lori, were “eternally grateful” for authorities who helped evacuate the family.

“Thank God no one was injured and the fire was extinguished,” Shapiro wrote. “Every day, we stand with the law enforcement and first responders who run towards danger to protect our communities.”

NEW: An investigation is underway and one person is in custody after police sources say several shots were fired in West Chester, PA Sunday afternoon.

A man experiencing a mental health crisis was taken into custody after firing shots at officers on Sunday in West Chester, Pennsylvania, police said. 

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. in the area of 50 South Church Street, according to police.

Police said officers were called to the scene for a man experiencing a mental health crisis. When they arrived, the man began firing shots at police, authorities said. 

One officer was hurt with minor injuries, but nobody was struck by gunfire, according to police.
