Arkansas: Pine Bluff Police Officer Injured During Pursuit; Suspect Apprehended

Shortly after 12:00 PM, a Pine Bluff Police officer was involved in a vehicle accident following a pursuit that began during a routine traffic stop. The suspect fled westbound on 2nd Avenue, prompting the officer to initiate a chase.

As both vehicles approached the railroad tracks just west of Pitts Road, they attempted to cross—resulting in the officer wrecking his vehicle. Fortunately, the officer sustained only minor injuries and is expected to recover fully.

The Arkansas State Police later joined the pursuit and executed a successful PIT maneuver to stop the fleeing suspect. Authorities discovered guns and drugs inside the suspect’s vehicle.

I rarely watch advertiser television. During sports events you have no choice. It’s nonstop ads for medications with terrifying side effects. Do drug companies only want to cure symptoms, but not disease? I guess if you cure disease, you don’t have a revenue stream anymore.
