Our thoughts and prayers are with the Walton County Sheriff's Office, Florida on the loss of Walton County Deputy Will May.

May was shot by a suspect during at a Dollar General near Mossy Head in what was described by the sheriff as a simple trespassing call that was not going to result in an arrest.

Deputy May was able to return fire, fatally shooting the suspect. May passed away a few hours later at a local hospital.

Deputy Will May, age 38, was on his way when he answered his last call of the day at the Dollar General. He is survived by his wife and two teenage children.

Rest In Peace, Hero 💙🖤
