Georgia: On Friday, an EMS worker and deputy were injured in an altercation with a man while transporting him to the hospital.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says Tyler Gress was being transported to AUMC following a previous situation that resulted in him having a head injury.

Deputy Mcintire was following the ambulance when it stopped at the 13th Street and Greene Street intersection.

According to the report, the rear doors were thrown open and deputies witnessed Gress wrestling with EMS worker, Felicia Lambert. Lambert sustained an injury to her right shoulder during the struggle.

Mcintire went to help Lambert get control of Gress.

The report says Gress continuously tried to grab Mcintire’s taser and bit him on his right arm leaving bite marks.

Mcintire and other deputies were able to get Gress into custody and rode in the ambulance the rest of the way to AUMC.

Gress continued to fight once he was at the hospital despite being in restraints and was eventually put under sedation so hospital staff could treat his head injury.

BREAKING: The Republican Party of New Mexico's entryway was destroyed by what party chairwoman Amy Barela described as a "deliberate act of arson."

"Early this morning, the entryway of the Republican Party of New Mexico’s headquarters in Albuquerque was destroyed in a deliberate act of arson which also included spray painting the words 'ICE=KKK.' This horrific attack, fueled by hatred and intolerance, is a direct assault on our values, freedoms, and our right to political expression. This is not an isolated incident. It is part of a disturbing pattern of politically motivated violence that has plagued our country—fueled in part by the silence and implicit encouragement from progressive leaders who refuse to condemn these acts. Their failure to stand against political violence has created an environment where attacks like this are not only possible but increasingly frequent."

NEW: Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said he “certainly” believes that there’s enough room on Mount Rushmore for President Donald Trump’s face.

Burgum joined Trump’s daughter-in-law and new Fox News host Lara Trump for an interview that aired on her show “My View with Lara Trump” on Saturday.

His appearance came just days after Trump signed an executive order that gave Burgum the power to determine if public monuments, memorials or statues removed during the Biden administration give a “false construction” of American history.
