A day after obtaining 125 recovered text messages from the phone of Mayor Karen Bass during the initial hours of the Palisades fire, the Los Angeles times is now suing the city of Los Angeles, accusing them of unlawfully withholding and deleting more of the Mayor's text communication.

BREAKING: Utah became the first state to officially ban the LGBTQ pride flag and other flags at all government buildings and public schools.

On Thursday, HB 77 became law without needing Republican Gov. Spencer Cox's signature, thanks to the Republican majority in the House.

Under the bill brought by state Rep. Trevor Lee and state Sen. Dan McCay, both Republicans, state and local government buildings will be fined $500 a day for flying any flag other than the United States flag, the Utah state flag, military flags, or a short list of others approved by lawmakers.

Ohio: A pickup truck going the wrong way on busy routes caused a crash before fleeing police, leading to an officer being injured.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a call from the Preble County Sheriff’s Office regarding a blue Ford F-150 going to the wrong way on I-70 around 5:30 p.m. Friday. Dispatchers learned the car was now traveling northbound on US-127 into Darke County.

As soon as the collision occurred, a Greenville Police Officer observed the truck driver fleeing the crash scene towards the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery nearby.

Two officers were able to arrest the suspect in the cemetery. While trying to apprehend the suspect, one of the officers was injured while trying to climb over a fence. He was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: At least 2 dead, 4 injured in shooting at house party in Tacoma, Washington state; male juvenile in custody.

On Saturday, March 29th, just past midnight at 12:24 am, deputies were dispatched to a large party at the 17800 block of 25th Ave. Ct. E in Tacoma, where 30-40 juveniles were reportedly running and screaming from a house party. Multiple callers reported a fight broke out in the street. Just before deputies arrived, shots were fired, and people and vehicles were fleeing the scene. Vehicles were getting stuck in the neighborhood while chaos embodied the entire street.  

Deputies located one male victim in the street and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced deceased. Five other victims self-transported to local hospitals. We were later notified a male had succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Four other victims remain at local hospitals with serious injuries, but they are expected to recover.
