After sedating the 1,000lb. bear named Hudson, technicians at the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois had to use a reconfigured bulldozer to lift and transport the sleeping animal to a medical facility. Hudson had received regular checkups prior to Tuesday's examination, but he'd never had a CT scan before because he greatly exceeded the weight limit for the table on which animals are placed to use the machine. Examiners also gave Hudson checkup and extracted semen samples from him that can later be used to inseminate female polar bears at other zoos across the country, helping to boost the vulnerable bears' dwindling population.

The inquisitive trespasser opened the door of a car in South Lake Tahoe, California. Footage shows him gently pulling at the door handle to open the car. He then peers inside before strolling off. As the weather gets warmer during spring months, bears are more likely to be on the prowl looking for any food they can get their hands on. While most people who live in Lake Tahoe have food bins which can only be accessed by humans, that's not always enough to deter a curious bear.π»π

Harvey Weinstein was looking his normal wane and wrinkly self as he arrived at Manhattan Supreme Court on Friday morning for a crucial hearing in his upcoming criminal trial. The same could not be said however of his legal team, which looked markedly different on Friday due to the addition of his two new female attorneys, Marianne Bertuna and Diana Fabi Samson. It is expected that the hearing on Friday will be closed to the press as the judge is expected to rule if other women who have accused Weinstein of sexual assault will be allowed top take the stand during the trial.

President Donald Trump said that he would not let former White House Counsel Don McGahn testify before Congress. Trump told the Daily Mail and other reporters on the South Lawn Friday morning that McGahn had already testified enough for Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the case for obstruction and collusion has already been litigated. βWith all of this transparency, we finish, no collusion, no obstruction. And then I get out and the first thing is, βLetβs do it again.β And I said, βThatβs enough, we have to run a country.ββ Trump said before departing for Indianapolis, Indiana to speak at a National Rifle Association conference.
