Drivers are being advised to stay off the roads as heavy snow and fallen trees caused widespread travel chaos in the aftermath of Storm Freya. Strong gusts of up to nearly 80mph whipped a large swathe of the country overnight, with downed trees and debris causing power cuts and affecting transport routes across the UK. A group of teenagers came to the rescue of an eight-year-old boy as he fell from a chairlift at a Vancouver ski resort in Canada. Video shows the eight-year-old dangling from the side of a chairlift on Grouse Mountain some 25-feet in the air, holding onto his father, after he slipped. One of the teenagers, 14-year-old James Macdonald, said he didn't think the boy could hold on for very long, but his quick-thinking saved the boy from serious injury.😱❄️☃️

This is the shocking moment a cyclist on the M62 in Liverpool, pedals across all three lanes of the motorway before appearing to come to a halt at the hard shoulder. During the clip, confused drivers are seen coming to a halt as the cyclist pedals his way through the traffic and tries to reach safety. It is not yet known if there was a child inside his child carrier. 😂

More than 14 people have been killed when two tornadoes hit southern Alabama on Sunday. Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones confirmed at least 14 people were dead, and family members told WSFA 12 one of the fatalities in Beauregard, Alabama was an eight-year-old girl. 'I can say that at this time we have 14 confirmed fatalities. And again, the search continues. We still have some people that are reported missing,' Jones said. He didn't elaborate on the exact number of those missing. The sheriff said that the tornado had carved 'catastrophic' a path of destruction a quarter-mile wide and several miles long through the community about 60 miles east of Montgomery, near the Georgia border. 😱

A 2,000lb bison charges at nine snowmobiles in Yellowstone National Park as tourists watch from a snow bus. The animal stands in front of one terrified driver who has to drive around to speed off. A total of nine motor sleds pass the bison as it turns and charges as each set attempt to drive along the road. At the end of the clip the bison turns towards the bus almost looking as if he would charge at the larger vehicle next. 😂❄️

The large Indian elephant in Tamil Nadu, India, approaches a checkpoint barrier. It pushes it down gently with its tusks and uses its feet to keep it flattened as it steps over it. Male elephants often use brute force in these situations but this bull opted for a gentler method. Once the bar reaches a comfortable height, he crosses over and continues on his way.😂🤣
