A French 'Yellow Vest' protester had his hand blown off after reportedly trying to pick up a grenade in Bordeaux while a woman in Paris lost an eye during violent clashes last night. The device detonated when the man tried to pick it up in order to throw it back, the city's deputy public prosecutor Olivier Etienne confirmed. But no further details have been released about the man's identity or his current condition. The man can be seen running towards the camera holding up the bleeding stump at the end of his right arm in a graphic video, which has since been removed from Facebook. Meanwhile, a video surfaced on social late Saturday night that showed a woman on the ground and bleeding from her eyes as others tend to her amid the protests in Paris. It comes as President Emmanuel Macron is to deliver an apologetic address on television and announce further tax cuts following a day of violent protests across the country on Saturday.

A woman who had just been released from a Colorado prison ended up being arrested again after she created a hole in the bathroom wall, climbed up into the ceiling and then fell into the jail lobby. Jessica Leger, 29, had officially been released from the Jefferson County jail on November 21 when she decided to use the bathroom in the prison's lobby before leaving. She locked herself in the female bathroom and was screaming for prison guards to get her relatives because she said she was suffering a psychotic episode. While the guards were trying to unlock the bathroom door, Leger removed a paper towel dispenser from the wall above the toilet and climbed through the hole. Leger then climbed into the ceiling and tried to escape.

May makes humiliating retreat by POSTPONING Commons Brexit vote in the face of massive Tory revolt - and will face MPs later as she fights to cling on as PM.
Theresa May is preparing an humiliating retreat over her Brexit deal in the face of a massive Tory revolt. The PM (pictured today centre) is set to cancel a showdown Commons vote tomorrow to avoid catastrophic defeat. Mrs May has been locked in intense talks with allies and aides as they try to find a way through the dire situation. Some 110 Tory MPs are pledged to oppose the plan, making victory all-but impossible as they line up with Labour, the SNP, and the Lib Dems. A spokeswoman for the PM said this morning that vote was 'going ahead as planned'. But within an hour three senior sources told MailOnline they are certain that the Commons showdown will be put off. She was this afternoon holding a conference call with her Cabinet (including Philip Hammond and Michael Gove, right) which is expected to confirm the decision. Tory leadership rivals including Boris Johnson (pictured left today) had been circling in anticipation of a heavy defeat for May on Tuesday triggering a vote of no confidence.
