Actress Gina Carano, who was dropped from the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and was banned from future “Star Wars” projects, has a new gig.

Gina Carano, who exited the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and was banned from future “Star Wars” projects, has found a new home at pundit Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire. The actress will develop and produce her own film at the conservative news outlet, which announced it is branching out into entertainment content.

“This is just the beginning .. welcome to the rebellion,” the actress wrote Friday on social media as she retweeted Shapiro’s tweet promoting the new venture.

“I cried out and my prayer was answered,” Carano told Deadline Friday, praising Daily Wire for making her filmmaking dream come true. “I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same.

Gina Carano February: “We’re looking forward to taking on the authoritarian Hollywood monolith,” Daily Wire co-founder Shapiro said Friday in a statement to The Times. “It’s no secret that Hollywood is a one-party town, and that dissent is not just discouraged but punished. We’re building the alternative, and we’d just like to thank Disney and Lucasfilm for aiding us in our quest to do so.”

Carano did not respond Friday to a request for comment.

BREAKING! The office of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed Friday the contents of a recording that shows the governor and his team withheld from state legislators the true number of coronavirus deaths at New York nursing homes, out of fear it could be used against them by the Trump administration, ABC News reported. The governor's top aide, Melissa DeRosa, confirmed the contents of the recording of a September conference call with Democratic state legislators, first reported by the New York Post, in which she admits that the governor's office withheld the numbers due to concerns they would "be used against us" by the Justice Department under then-President Donald Trump. The figures were ultimately revealed last month as part of an investigation into COVID-19 nursing home deaths by the office of New York Attorney General Tish James. Sources tell ABC News that Albany lawmakers will begin discussing whether to strip Cuomo of some his coronavirus emergency powers in the aftermath of the revelation.

NYC -- A BLM march through Midtown Manhattan turned violent Friday night, with 11 protesters arrested. At least some of those arrested were accused of attacking Daily News photographer Sam Costanza at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and 54th Street in the mistaken belief that he was a cop, sources said. The photog was surrounded and struck after one of the marchers recognized him from a BLM protest outside the NYPD’s 6th Precinct house in Greenwich Village last year, according to sources. The agitated protester began yelling, “He’s a cop,” inciting many of his fellow marchers. About a dozen people surrounded the photog, shoving him and beating him with their fists and other objects, sources said. The photographer, who suffered a bloody nose, was not seriously injured and declined medical attention, police said.

Tucker Carlson Tonight: From Andrew Cuomo to The Lincoln Project media protected the worst of politics. At the end of a turbulent and sometimes grim week, we have good news: 212 years to the day after Abraham Lincoln was born, the Democratic Party propaganda outlet that stole his name finally collapsed. There's probably never been a sleazier or more vicious organization in American politics than The Lincoln Project. Naturally, it was heavily funded by the tech oligarchs in Silicon Valley. The Lincoln Project set itself apart from most political organizations by never even addressing, for the most part, ideas or policies. Instead, they always went personal, immediately going right for the throat. Rather than argue against what Donald Trump might be doing or not doing, the Lincoln Project instead threatened his attorneys and spread filth about his aides.

West Midlands, UK -- When police in the U.K. showed Muhammad Nadeem the graphic bodycam footage of his January 2020 arrest, even he had to admit the incident "doesn’t look good." The West Midlands Police Department released the video showing Nadeem drag Officer Kieron Poole alongside his car, despite the officer’s repeated commands to stop. Nadeem, now 19, has admitted to the crimes caught on camera and is awaiting sentencing, police said in a news release. They added he was "shocked" when shown the footage and admitted it "doesn’t look good." The video shows Poole questioning Nadeem, who was sitting in a car with the windows down despite cold weather. Nadeem told Poole he was smoking cigarettes, but Poole said he could smell marijuana.

The history of QAnon: how the conspiracy theory snowballed from the fringes of the internet into the mainstream. QAnon, the fictional right-wing conspiracy theory that alleges Trump is fighting a "deep state" cabal of human traffickers, has had a big couple weeks in Congress. Members questioned past comments by Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has repeatedly endorsed the movement and its associated theories. Greene, who claimed last Thursday that she no longer believed in QAnon, was stripped of her congressional committee assignments on February 5. Though Greene's ties to QAnon were well-documented by journalists and media watchdogs alike in the months before her election to Congress, the convoluted "big tent" conspiracy theory, which is constantly spinning off new baseless allegations, has drawn recent interest in the wake of the Capitol riot. QAnon believers diehard Trump fans, and militant gangs, stormed the Capitol to protest the election results on January 6. (Read More)
