Illinois governor redeploys National Guard to protect Washington DC while violence in Chicago skyrockets
Illinois will send 500 Guard members to DC to assist with security threats. Meanwhile, homicides and shootings surge in Chicago.
Approximately 100+ law enforcement personnel on scene at the Red Lion Hotel in downtown Olympia, WA, clearing the building following an occupation by a housing advocacy group. Police aren’t messing around with Antifa in Olympia, it appears. Several large armoured SWAT personnel carrier vehicles are moving into the area with warning lights activated. Small group of activists continue to harass Olympia Police as they take back the occupied hotel.

Police in New York state released two bodycam videos on Sunday that showed officers restraining a distraught 9-year-old girl who was handcuffed and later sprayed with a chemical "irritant" when she disobeyed commands. The release of the video footage by the Rochester Police Department came after Mayor Lovely Warren emotionally expressed her concern for the “child that was harmed during this incident that happened on Friday.”In the videos, the girl can be heard repeatedly and frantically screaming for her father as officers try to restrain her after responding to a call for "family trouble" on Friday afternoon. A total of nine officers and RPD supervisors ended up responding to the call, police said. At a Sunday press conference, Deputy Police Chief Andre Anderson described the girl as suicidal. Myanmar’s military launched a coup on Monday, detaining the country’s civilian leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and her top lieutenants in early morning raids and seizing power from a government established only five years ago. Soldiers were deployed outside City Hall in Myanmar’s main city of Yangon on Monday after the reported arrest of Aung San Suu Kyi and other civilian leaders, a witness contacted by telephone said. The witness said that a dozen soldiers were in front of the building that houses the city administration while several military trucks and vans stood nearby. What's happening in Myanmar has a huge impact on China. The military was upset that Aung San Suu Kyi was becoming too close to the CCP. Xi already built 2 pipelines through Myanmar, and has big plans for a major port and rail line. General & New Supreme Leader of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing and the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping seems to be good friends. But nothing personal, it's just business.
