LASD Lomita Stn.: Since September of last year, 11 year old Young Marine Jordan Ramirez has made it his personal mission to visit police agencies across all of Southern California and thank them for their service. Yesterday morning, Jordan, who is also a world record holding runner, began a long walk through the South Bay. He journeyed to CHP South LA followed by Lomita Stn, and finally ended his 12.77 mile day at Palos Verdes Estates PD. During his visit to our station, Jordan was escorted by a line of our vehicles, and was greeted by deputies. At each stop, Jordan presents a plaque to the men and women of law enforcement, thanking them for their service. Our station was no different as Jordan presented a "Thank You" plaque to Captain Powers. We are deeply humbled to be on the receiving end of this young man's spirit and dedication. We wish you the best on your quest, Jordan, and can't tell you enough how grateful we are that you chose to spend your Saturday morning visiting us. Stop by again any time.

Illinois will send 500 Guard members to DC to assist with security threats. Meanwhile, homicides and shootings surge in Chicago.
Approximately 100+ law enforcement personnel on scene at the Red Lion Hotel in downtown Olympia, WA, clearing the building following an occupation by a housing advocacy group. Police aren’t messing around with Antifa in Olympia, it appears. Several large armoured SWAT personnel carrier vehicles are moving into the area with warning lights activated. Small group of activists continue to harass Olympia Police as they take back the occupied hotel.
