The Racine County Sheriff's Office warned of a "developing critical event" in Rochester, Wis. Friday afternoon. The Office explained in a social media post around 1:30 p.m. that deputies are responding to the incident near the Rochester Public Library, at 208 West Spring Street. Authorities ask residents to stay away from the area. In an update, the Office said that the situation has ended and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

It took a while but the suspects were finally taken into custody quite a ways from where they crashed. CHP had trouble getting a vehicle in to haul them away.
