WA State Patrol: At 0700 this morning, WSP troopers, along with the National Guard, arrived on the Capitol Campus. The National Guard is here in support of the WSP, at the direction of the Governor, and by invitation of WSP Chief Batiste.

Right now In Olympia, WA -- Fencing and a line of National Guard members surround the Capitol Campus ahead of Monday’s convening of the legislative. WA State Patrol says threats of taking over the building prompted. At the front of the Legislative Building itself, an additional perimeter of fencing and guard members. Federal, state and local law enforcement all on-scene here, as well. Also National Guard presence on the lawn of the Governor’s Mansion where the gate here was breached Wednesday by a pro-Trump protesters.

⚠️ Merced County Sheriff's Office: SIX IMATES ESCAPED FROM MERCED COUNTY DOWNTOWN JAIL. On January 10, 2021, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office Jail Staff determined that just before midnight, six inmates housed at the Merced County Downtown Jail were missing from their cell. A preliminary investigation has determined that the inmates were able to gain access to the roof of the facility and utilize a homemade rope to scale down the side of the jail. The Merced County Sheriff’s Office has formed a task force to track down and apprehend these fugitives.The following inmates should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information or anyone who sees any of these individuals is asked not to approach them and to immediately call 9-1-1.
