BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — Bonney Lake police arrested three men in connection with a bloody road rage brawl Friday afternoon which included a shooting in a crowded Walmart parking lot.

Soon after they committed to each other, this newlywed couple also showed their commitment to their jobs. ⁣Cole Hoyer and Kelly Momber are two police officers in Michigan with the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD). They were married in May, but less than 18 hours after they said their vows, the couple returned to work. This week, the GRPD recognized Hoyer and Momber on social media for their sacrifice.⁣

A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy was assaulted early Sunday in the unincorporated Westmont area of South Los Angeles. The suspect was taken into custody, a department official said. The female deputy, who works out of the South Los Angeles Station, was trying to stop a vehicle at Vermont Avenue and West 97th Street shortly after 2 a.m. when the suspect attacked her and drove off, according to Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. Deputies pursued the suspect for about three miles, until the person was taken into custody at Florence and Western avenues. No additional information about the suspect was released. The exact nature of the assault was unclear, but the injured deputy was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Schrader.

Three men died Sunday after a shooting overnight at a club in Dallas, police said. Police responded around 2:30 a.m. to the shooting at Aces of Dallas, which is located at 2250 Manana Drive. When they got there, police said they found one man who had died at the scene and two others who had been shot. First responders took both injured men to a local hospital, where they later died. No suspects are in custody at this time, according to police.
