Modesto Police released body camera footage on Wednesday from an incident on Sept. 27 in a residential neighborhood near Briggsmore Avenue and Claus Road where 33-year-old Mexico native Emilio Villa Mora allegedly tightly twisted a seat belt around his neck while in police custody. The footage, released on the department’s Facebook page, provide audio from multiple 9-1-1 calls, including two from Mora and show officers attempting to perform CPR after finding Mora slumped over in the backseat of a patrol car. Modesto Police Assistant Chief Brandon Gillespie said in the video release it was a tragedy for all involved, “especially Mr. Villa Mora’s family” and the investigation remains ongoing. Meanwhile, in Wauwatosa. The National Guard is setup at 76th and North - however protesters are attempting to bypass them by cutting through the neighborhood at 66th and Wright. There is now law enforcement on three sides of the intersection at 67th and North - which forces the protesters back in the other direction. We have not seen any altercations or force used by either side thus far. This is the first time both sides have met tonight and National Guard arresting protesters at 77th and Milwaukee. It’s a church parking lot.
