Paramount Network has resumed production of the hit television show “Cops” months after its cancellation. The network canceled the show last June in wake of the death of George Floyd and the protests pushing for police reform. “‘Cops’ is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a Paramount Network spokesperson told Fox Business right after announcing the cancellation. Now, officials say the show will be returning and production is currently underway in Spokane County, Washington. The county has previously hosted the show. The sheriff’s office says “Cops” film crews began riding with deputies last month and will continue to do so through the first week of November. A spokesperson for Langley Productions said the new episodes will not air in the U.S., according to FOX News. The episodes are reportedly being filmed to fulfill international television contract agreements.

LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police are investigating after a man was killed at the South Point Hotel & Casino. It happened Sunday afternoon at the property. According to Metro Lt. Ray Spencer, the suspect came out of South Point and fired a shot into the air. The 40-50 year old man then attempted to go back into the property with his gun. At that point, the man was confronted by security. Security officers then shot and killed the man. No one else was injured in the incident. After checking the security footage, Metro found that the suspect was observed entering the casino about an hour before the incident. Lt. Spencer also commented on the job done by security officers at South Point, saying they did a “phenomenal job” and that “guests at this property should feel safe.”
Deadly wildfires in California have burned more than 4 million acres this year — more than double the previous record for the most land burned in a single year in the state. California fire officials said the state hit the astonishing milestone Sunday with about two months remaining in the fire season. The previous record was set two years ago when wildfires destroyed 1.67 million acres. Cal Fire said in a statement Sunday that there have been more than 8,200 wildfires since the start of the year that have burned "well over 4 million acres in California." That's the equivalent of more than 6,250 square miles. The flames have scorched an area larger than Connecticut. About 17,000 firefighters are still battling nearly two dozen major blazes throughout the state. Despite the grim milestone, there were signs for optimism this weekend, USA Today reported.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -Savannah Police say one man is facing charges after throwing an unknown object and pointing a gun at a group of protestors Saturday afternoon.

34-year-old Fredrick James of Decatur is facing charges of aggravated assault and reckless conduct.
The Miami Heat upset the Lakers in Game 3 of the NBA finals, 115-104 on Sunday. The L.A. Lakers still lead the series 2-1. LeBron James powered into the lane, looking to take another step toward an NBA title. Instead, he took too many steps. James was whistled for traveling, ending a possession that could have given the Los Angeles Lakers a fourth-quarter lead. A couple of minutes later, he did it again. In the time of the game when he usually turns it up, James turned it over Sunday night, part of a sloppy performance by the Lakers in a 115-104 loss to the Miami Heat in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Knocked off track early by Anthony Davis' first-quarter foul trouble, the Lakers wasted a chance to take a 3-0 lead, which has never been blown in NBA playoff history.

A sex shop owner in Montana has a plan to “make America orgasm again.” Billy McWilliams, who runs Erotique adult store in Bozeman, Montana, devised a patriotic promotion to encourage women to vote in the upcoming election — while also addressing a vastly overlooked gender disparity in this country: the so-called “orgasm gap.” In an effort to inspire civic duty while also inspiring gender equality in the bedroom (or wherever), the 60-year-old businessman told SWNS he will give away 2,200 red, white and blue vibrators to American women who pledge to vote on Nov. 3, in an event he dubbed “the Great American Orgasm.” “It’s not a Republican orgasm or a Democrat orgasm, it’s an American orgasm,” he said. “Someone has to help us come together.” McWilliams has already mailed out 400 of the gaudy gifts, which come with an American flag sticker that also reads, “I came and I voted.” 👻
