The Mexican Navy has intercepted more than three tons of cocaine before it could reach its final destination--the streets of New York City, according to a report.
At least one person has been killed by a gunman after a gunman opened fire in an Indiana mall and footage showed terrified shoppers sprinting away. Frantic calls flooded into the Mishawaka Police Department just before 3pm as residents reported a shooting at University Park Mall. St. Joseph County Coroner Michael McGann confirmed on Saturday evening that one person had been killed but no other details were available. Investigators have so far not released any information about a possible suspect. As Sunday morning, police said the incident was no longer an active shooter situation and that they were searching for a suspect. The gunman was reported to be wearing a clown mask and covered in a ripped up US flag. Footage taken by a witness at University Park Mall shows a crowd of people screaming as they run towards the exit doors.

A man who brandished an assault rifle at a BLMprotest in Lubbock has pleaded guilty to making threats. Emmanuel Quinones, a 25-year-old local, was charged via criminal complaint in early June and indicted a week later, Breaking911 reported. He pleaded guilty to interstate threatening communications via videoteleconference Friday morning. According to plea papers, Quinones admitted he brought a loaded Smith & Wesson .223 caliber semi-automatic rifle to a protest decrying the death of George Floyd. In view of the protesters, Quinones held the rifle at “low ready,” in firing position with the muzzle pointed toward the ground, as panic rippled through the assembled crowd. He refused a Lubbock Police officer’s verbal commands to drop the rifle, and only did so when the officer drew his gun and a protestor moved to tackle him.
Meanwhile, in Russia. An eight-story apartment block in Krasnodar, a major city in southern Russia, was ravaged in a blaze after its wooden attic floor caught fire, prompting a mass evacuation. The incident did not cause any casualties or injuries. The fire started around 2:15am local time on the attic floor of the high-rise, with the first fire crews arriving at the scene within six minutes after the incident was reported. Some 140 firefighters and 40 fire engines battled the blaze, which had spread to an area of some 4,400 square meters by the time it was contained, nearly four hours later. Footage from the scene showed the fire devouring the uppermost wooden floor of the apartment block, and plumes of thick black smoke billowing from the burning building.

Amid a record rise in coronavirus cases in India, the fear of contracting the virus is so much that now even criminals have been strictly adhering to Covid-19 protocols! They might not fear arrest and jail, but Covid-19 is something which really scares them. In one such incident which seems straight out of a movie, two masked men in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh casually walked into a jewellery store, sanitised their hands and then robbed the store! Yes, this bizarre incident happened on Friday when the masked men after getting their hands sanitised, pointed guns at the store workers and immediately started stuffing their bags with jewellery. Within a few minutes, the robbers pull off the heist in broad daylight, while stunned customers sat motionless in fear.
