A video has gone viral of wild scenes when a couple pointed a pistol and an assault rifle at BLM rioters in an angry confrontation outside their huge mansion. Local media have identified the pair as Mark and Patricia McCloskey. The couple can be seen standing…
A white St. Louis couple criminally charged for waving guns during a Black Lives Matter protest outside their home says Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden would invite unchecked lawlessness into American suburbs. Mark and Patty McCloskey on Monday at the Republican National Convention reinforced the theme outlined in President Donald Trump’s campaign ads. The Republican is painting his opponent as complicit with rioting and violence that has taken place in some cities in recent months amid racial justice protests, the vast majority of which have been peaceful. Patty McCloskey says, “They want to abolish the suburbs altogether by ending single-family home zoning." She says the actions “would bring crime, lawlessness and low-quality apartments into thriving suburban neighborhoods.” She says, “These are the policies that are coming to a neighborhood near you,.” She adds, “Your family will not be safe in the radical Democrats’ America.”

KENOSHA, Wis. - Violent protests after the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha Sunday evening, Aug. 23 left vehicles and businesses throughout downtown badly damaged, with shattered glass littering sidewalks and the smell of burning debris filling the air. On Monday evening, nearly every building within a half-mile radius around the #Kenosha County Courthouse was boarded up to protect it from further damage, with signs reminding protesters who the violence is hurting. The owner of Dale's Jewelers says thieves took approximately $200,000 worth of jewelry. City garbage trucks burned feet from the courthouse, and flames engulfed the parking lot and office of "Car Source," where more than 50 cars were torched. The owner of "Car Source" noted $900,000 to $1 million in inventory damage and $500,000 in damage to the lot and building after unrest in Kenosha Sunday and Monday night -- insurance calling it "domestic terrorism."

Lufkin, Texas —AGGRAVATED ROBBERY #PURSUIT ARRESTS: Here is a video compiled from officer dash cam and body-worn camera footage of yesterday's pursuit of the armed robbery suspects. At 2:54 p.m., a man called 911 to report he had just been robbed at gunpoint by three males in the parking lot of On the Road on Chestnut St. at Bartmess Drive. The victim said he was supposed to meet the suspects to buy some shoes. He said when he got in their vehicle to make the purchase, they pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and demanded he empty his pockets and remove the shoes he was wearing. The victim got out of the gold Chevy Impala unharmed before the suspects fled the scene on Bartmess Drive. The victim said the car had paper tags. Within just a few minutes officers spotted the suspect vehicle inbound on East Denman Avenue. (Read the Full Story.)

The British Museum has removed a bust of its founding father, who was a slave owner, and said it wanted to confront its links to colonialism, the Guardian reported. Hartwig Fischer, the institution’s director, revealed the likeness of Sir Hans Sloane has been placed in a secure cabinet alongside artefacts explaining his work in the context of the British empire. The decision had been taken partly as a result of the Black Lives Matter movement, the museum’s curators said. Sloane – a physician born in Ireland in 1660 – partly funded his collection from enslaved labour on Jamaican sugar plantations. His artefacts provided the starting point for what became the British Museum. Sloane, who married a wealthy sugar plantation heiress, is honoured by numerous place names, including London’s Sloane Square. The British Museum’s demotion of its founding father is part of a wider reckoning over race triggered by Floyd’s death. #facepalm

Jacob Blake’s father asked if he has confidence in justice: “I don't have confidence in anybody that is white. That is doing an investigation about a black young man that was shot 7 times in his back &amp haven't come up with an answer or a comment—At this point, it's not welcome."

Atlanta Police Department: Keys in Unattended Vehicle.
MAINE — Police in the city of Waterville were responding to an active shooting incident Tuesday evening. It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured. The Waterville police department posted the following information on their Facebook page: "We are dealing with an incident in the area of College Avenue and Highwood Street involving a subject actively discharging a firearm. We have the area contained, but are asking people to avoid the area. We have Waterville, Oakland, Fairfield, Maine State Police and others working to bring this incident to a successful resolution. There will be a media staging area at the Waterville Police Department and we would ask that media seeking footage of the event not attempt to pass the outer perimeter roadblock at College Avenue and Hazelwood Street. Media inquiries should not be addressed to the emergency dispatchers as they are very busy. Chief Massey will arrange a briefing as soon as possible."
