Mesa Police Department released body camera footage that shows officers scrambling to rescue a man pinned beneath a car. The incident happened Tuesday morning in the driveway of a house near Mesa Drive and Main Street around 8:45 a.m. Devon Haycock was working on his wife’s car when one of the jack collapsed, sending the car body into his chest. Luckily for the couple, Mesa Police officers Nolan Martineau and Josh Gardner arrived within three minutes and helped Devon to get out from under the car as it was lifted off the ground. Devon did not sustain any major injuries.

One of the largest democracies in the world, India will celebrate its 74th Independence Day on 15th of August, 2020. This day marks the historic occasion when the country finally broke the shackles of oppression and gained independence from the British empire in the year 1947. 🥳

Two 13-year-old boys running a lemonade stand in suburban Illinois have been robbed at gunpoint by two other teenagers who made off with $30 in profits. Surveillance video captured the moment Jude Peterson and his friend were robbed outside his home in Peoria, southwest of Chicago, last Friday afternoon. Following news of the robbery, there has been an outpouring of support for the two teen boys. When they set up their stand again on Tuesday for the first time, more than a dozen officers from the Peoria Police Department came by to support them. 'I may have cried a little,' Jude's father Nathan said, according to the PJ Star. 'Our hearts are overwhelmed by the love and support of the community - people from totally different backgrounds, police, everyone - all rallying around these boys.'
Less than 24 hours after being shot at, an #LAPD Southwest Division officer was back on patrol. His work that night included a traffic stop that led to the recovery of a stolen gun from a gang member. We’re grateful the officer wasn’t injured when shot at—and his commitment is undeniable.

Meanwhile, in Portland. Protestors are marching in north Portland, miles away from the justice center, where federal agents are still stationed, watching how things develop. Police officers are waiting on interstate, cutting off the route to the Portland Police association building. Police and protestors are forming lines on adjacent streets. Police jump into protestor shield line, push protestors down, hit them with Billy clubs.
