A federal program that has given people who are unemployed a weekly boost is set to expire, FOX 35 Orlando reported. For Timothy James, he said an extra $600 from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on top of his state unemployment is significant. His journey getting to the month was not an easy one. “A real weight lifted off my should to see that money come in,” he said. The Lake County resident waited 15 weeks before the state paid him. He said he hopes lawmakers extend the federal payment. “Hope they make it happen quickly cause people can’t wait,” he said. William Morales faced a similar situation. He was laid off from his job in the hard-hit tourism industry. The father of three just got his benefits two weeks ago. He said the $600 gave him a weekly cash flow to keep up with his bills. He said without it, it will be difficult. Like James, he’s hoping lawmakers work something out.

Police dash cam footage shows wild semi truck chase in Ohio. On Saturday, Ohio State Highway Patrol got a call at 1:30 p.m. for a reckless driver on I-75. Officers attempted to pull over the semi truck but the driver refused. He then led officers on a chase into the city of Cincinnati, then onto I-71 and then onto I-275. Soon dozens of officers were in #pursuit of the truck. Police say that the driver was holding his wife hostage in the truck. The truck driver made several stops and talked with police but the driver refused to surrender. At one of the stops, the driver disconnected his truck from his trailer and took off again, reaching speeds of 80 mph. Tensions continued to boil over in Portland Friday night as a new 'Wall of Vets' joined the Wall of Moms and Wall of Dads to 'protect' BLM hyenas from the federal agents that have been deployed to the city under the president's orders. Protests entered their 58th night Friday, with about 4,000 gathering at the federal courthouse and Justice Center chanting 'feds go home' and 'black lives matter'. Chaos later erupted when demonstrators set off fireworks and federal agents hurled tear gas into the crowds. Federal law enforcement agents have been deployed to the city by President Trump to 'restore order' after almost two months of nightly protests - despite objections by city and state officials. On Friday a US judge denied an order sought by Oregon's top law enforcement officer to stop Trump's men arresting demonstrators in the city. This came as Trump continued on his law and order warned he was 'sending people to New York' after troops have already been drafted in to Portland, Chicago, Seattle and Albuquerque
