#WANTED! Surveillance footage capturing a group of men breaking into a pawn shop around the same time of the killing of a retired police captain attempting to prevent looting was released by St. Louis authorities Friday. The video shows seven "persons of interest"…
A man has been arrested and faces charges including murder in last week's shooting death of retired St. Louis police Capt. David Dorn amid riots and looting there, officials announced Sunday. The arrest was the result of an "extensive homicide investigation" after the June 2 murder of Dorn, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly M. Gardner said in a statement Sunday. Investigators recovered surveillance footage from the business where the shooting unfolded as well as surrounding businesses in the area, Gardner added. The suspect, Stephan Cannon, 24, was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, felon in possession of a firearm and three counts of armed criminal action, Gardner said. Dorn's last moments were caught on video and apparently posted on Facebook Live, though the video has since been taken down. He was killed by people who had broken into Lee's Pawn & Jewelry, and his body was found on the sidewalk at about 2:30 a.m., investigators said.

A Pennsylvania man was arrested after allegedly leaving a backpack full of Molotov cocktails in a bush outside protests in downtown Pittsburgh. Matthew Michanowicz, 52, faces federal charges after he was captured on surveillance video placing the military-style backpack at PNC Plaza, according to a complaint by the U.S. District Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Authorities said Michanowicz visited the downtown area on a bike to observe the "aftermath" of the riots. They added that during questioning he allegedly admitted to being the person depicted in photographs from the video footage, but denied possessing the bag or knowing its contents. Pittsburgh Bureau of Police (PBP) officers were called to the plaza last Monday after security officers reported a suspicious bag by a bicycle rack under some trees, the complaint alleged. It added that officers allegedly found three devices and a foul odor before calling the PBP Bomb Squad, which discovered three suspected "homemade Molotov."
