Three Nevada men with suspected ties to the so-called “boogaloo” movement were arrested in Las Vegas Saturday for allegedly planning to “incite violence” at a protest sparked by the death of George Floyd, federal prosecutors said. They were arrested Saturday on the way to a protest in downtown Las Vegas after filling gas cans at a parking lot and making Molotov cocktails in glass bottles, according to a copy of the criminal complaint obtained by The Associated Press. Stephen T. Parshall, 35; Andrew T. Lynam Jr., 23, and William L. Loomis, 40, were being held on $1 million bonds each in the Clark County Jail Wednesday, according to court records. Each currently faces two federal charges -- conspiracy to damage and destroy by fire and explosive, and possession of unregistered firearms -- along with multiple terrorism-related state charges.
A powerful landslide of more than 2,000 feet in width has taken eight houses into the sea in northern Norway. The instability continued for several hours and one person was evacuated from a nearby property, but there have been no reports of injuries. The landslide of more than 2,000 feet wide and 500 feet high occurred on the western side of Kråkneset in Alta municipality on Wednesday afternoon. The police were notified of the incident at 3.45pm and a rescue operation was immediately launched by air and sea.

A California man captured on camera pointing a loaded AR-15 rifle at a group of advancing protesters has been arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Jacob Daniel Bracken, 38, of Rancho Cucamonga, faces two counts of assault with a deadly weapon related to the incident in Upland on Monday, the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office said. Even though Bracken did not fire the rifle and no one was injured, Upland Police Chief Darren Goodman explained the assault charge: “You point the weapon at someone with the intent to intimidate and the weapon being loaded itself.” One video at the scene showed Bracken take the AR-15 out of a pickup truck, yelling for the crowd to “back the f--- up.” Goodman said they have videos as well as still photos that “conclusively showed” Bracken pointing the weapon at some point.

The Georgia man who allegedly shot Ahmaud Arbery while he was he was jogging on a residential street called him a "fucking niger" as he stood over the 25-year-old's lifeless body, according to testimony given Thursday in a Gynn Country courtroom. William Bryan, the man who shot the infamous viral video of Arbery's death, told investigators that ex-cop Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son, Travis McMichael, 34, chased Arbery with their truck and blocked his exit before opening fire and killing the young black man. That admission, along with the use of racial expletives, will likely factor into the Department of Justice's decision whether to pursue federal hate crime charges against Arbery’s accused killers.
ST. JOSEPH, Missouri -- The DeKalb County sheriff died in a crash Wednesday morning while responding to assist a deputy. Sheriff Andy Clark was involved in the collision around 11:30 a.m. while he was driving south on Missouri Highway 33 and then crossed over to head east on US Highway 36, according to The News-Press. Officials said that 71-year-old Robert Carpenter was driving east in a GMC SUV and hit the passenger side of Clark’s pickup causing both vehicles to go off the south side of the highway. Clark wasn’t wearing a seat belt but Carpenter was, the crash report states. Clark was transported to Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph where he was pronounced dead. #RIP
