Three men have been arrested after a gun was reported to have been seen in Ilford, UK. Police were called near to Ilford Lane, on reports that a male had been seen with a firearm. Armed police arrived and chased the suspects, arresting three men, Essex Live reported. A video posted on social media shows an officer running down the street, with his gun in his hands, chasing after a suspect. One man is seen being detained on the floor next to a police car. The men were arrested and remain in the custody of the Metropolitan Police on suspicion of possession of a firearm. Recall English laws prohibit citizens owning firearms. (God, how do they live?)

A shooting in Louisiana’s capital city left one police officer dead and his wounded colleague fighting for his life Sunday, authorities said, adding a suspect was later taken into custody after an hourslong standoff in which shots were fired at a SWAT team. Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul told The Advocate the two officers were shot in a northern residential district in the city, and that one of the officers later succumbed from his wounds. Paul said a suspect, Ronnie Kato, 36, was detained after a roughly four-hour standoff in which he barricaded inside a house. No one was reported hurt during the standoff and authorities didn’t immediately say what charges Kato might face. At a news conference Sunday evening, the police chief said the slain officer was a 21-year law enforcement veteran and that the wounded colleague had seven years of police work. The chief did not immediately identify the officers. #RIP
