A family in South Carolina who lost everything when a tornado destroyed their home during a severe weather outbreak around Easter has put out a call for help on what remains of their roof. More than 30 people were killed in a two-day period as severe storms tore across the South, leaving more than 1 million homes without power and damaging numerous others. In South Carolina, nine people were killed by tornadoes that struck the state.

A Michigan state senator apologized for wearing a face mask that appeared to resemble the Confederate flag during a legislative session last week. Senator Lindsey Graham has weighed in on reports Kim Jong Un has died, saying he would not be 'shocked' if the North Korean despot was 'dead or incapacitated', as the dictator's 31-year-old sister emerges as his most likely successor. Graham said in such a tightly controlled state as North Korea rumors about the leader's death would not be allowed to go 'unanswered'. Though North Korea has never announced who would succeed Kim Jong Un in the event of his death, analysts believe his sister, Kim Jo Yong would, likely form a regency with a number of loyalists until one of Kim's young children is old enough to over take the reigns.
