The Surgeon General appealed to Kylie Jenner on Thursday morning to tell her millennial and Gen Z followers to stay at home as the country frantically tries to fight coronavirus, after new data emerged which suggests young people are far more vulnerable to the deadly pandemic than previously thought. In an appearance on Good Morning America, Surgeon General Jerome Adams said the country needed social media influencers like Jenner to use their platforms to get through to young people who are not all heeding government advice. It came after disturbing photographs and videos emerged of teenagers and young adults flocking to the beaches of Florida for Spring Break, gathering in groups and twerking despite the entire world being on the brink of shut-down and thousands dying with no cure on the horizon.

So far in the US, more than 9,000 Americans are infected with coronavirus. That's less than half a percent of all adults in the US. But rates have been rising rapidly as the virus spread undetected in US communities and as more tests become available to detect patients. If just 20 percent of the US population is infected with coronavirus over the next 18 months (top left), hospitals across the country might just barely have enough beds to treat them. But the more quickly the virus spreads to 40% or 60% of people, the more likely there will be twice as many patients or more than there are beds (dark red), ProPublica maps show.

Many churches are offering drive-thru prayer -- and one church is even planning a drive-in service with a jumbotron -- as congregations are no longer able to meet in person for large gatherings to limit the spread of the coronavirus outbreak, Fox News reported. Troy Brewer, senior pastor of 5,000-member OpenDoor Church in Burleson, Texas, in Fort Worth area, told Fox News the circumstances may hinder their outreach globally but now is the time to focus on the local community. "We want to love people, bless people, and we want to pray," Brewer said. "We want to be available to people and serve them." Other churches are doing similar outreach with drive-thru prayer. In Dayton, Tenn., the congregation at Grace Bible Church will offer drive-in service on Sunday, complete with a jumbotron.
