Around 70 people were trapped after Xinjia Hotel in Quanzhou City collapsed in China's eastern Fujian province at around 7.30pm (11.30 GMT) on Saturday evening, officials said. Approximately 23 people had been rescued by 9pm, according to a local government statement. The 80-room hotel was recently converted to a quarantine facility for people who had recent contact with coronavirus patients. No reason for the collapse was given. State news agency Xinhua said rescue efforts were ongoing.

Two people in Florida who tested positive for the #coronavirus have died, becoming the first known fatalities outside California and Washington state. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an order Saturday directing a Level II public health emergency in the state after two people, who were both in their 70s and had traveled overseas died, according to the Florida Department of Health. One of the Floridian deaths was a man with underlying health issues in Santa Rosa County in Florida's Panhandle and the other was an elderly person in Lee County, in the Fort Myers area. As of Saturday morning, eight people in the Sunshine State have tested positive for COVID-19, one of which is a non-resident, officials said.
Greek police have launched tear gas at migrants as Turkish officers fired back at the border crossing where thousands are trying to get into Europe and vigilante groups are plotting to send them home. More clashes erupted Saturday between Greek police and Europe-bound migrants gathered on the Turkey side of a border crossing near the Greek village of Kastanies. Like previous confrontations this week, officers in Greece fired tear gas to impede the crowd and Turkish police fired tear gas back at their Greek counterparts. Journalists saw groups of mostly young men trying to pull down a fence with ropes and throwing rocks at the Greek border forces. Vigilantes were also seen at the border where they shouted 'We'll get you next time!' at a small group of men who had made it over and fled.

Police chase ends with suspect in custody 03/06/20. The suspect and officer almost get hit by a car. The chase started in the Palmdale, CA, area and the suspects eventually drove through a security fence at the Palmdale airport and then got on the 14 Freeway. For much of the chase through the Antelope Valley, the car's hood appeared to be up and blocking the windshield. Also at least two tires were seen falling off after spike strips were deployed, but the vehicle was able to keep driving at speeds over 50 mph. #pursut

Oklahoma City police released body cam video of a driver being tased after leading Oklahoma City officers on a chase all the way to Tuttle. The high speed chase happened on Wednesday, March 4th. when an OKC K9 unit spotted a suspicious vehicle near Southeast 25th Street and the Interstate 35 service road. Grizzle hit some stop sticks that popped his tires, but he kept going. Two other police cars also hit the stop sticks and were taken out of service, according to authorities. The driver came to a stop near Highway 37 and S.E. 4th St. in Tuttle and exited the vehicle armed with a knife. After a brief standoff, police tased the driver, identified by police as 38-year-old David Grizzle, and took him into custody. Police reports show officers field tested Grizzle and tested positive for meth. #taser
