Two snowmobilers in Colorado had a brush with death after triggering an avalanche earlier this month in a moment that was captured on video. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center said on Facebook the incident happened on Feb. 11 in Birdseye Gulch near Leadville when one of the snowmobilers caused a weak layer of snow to collapse, triggering the avalanche. In the video released by the agency, the first snowmobiler was able to escape. The second person, however, got caught in the avalanche and was carried down the mountain. "It's really quite terrifying," CAIC Director Ethan Greene, "Fortunately, the fellow that was caught in the avalanche ends up with his head above the snow."

Donald and Melania Trump stopped by the Taj Mahal Monday evening, capping off their first day in India with a visit to the world's most famous monument to love. They held hands as they posed for photographers and spent a few minutes staring at the white marble tomb as the sun started to set. It’s incredible, truly incredible,' Trump said. Melania also weighed in: 'Lovely, beautiful,' she said. The couple signed the guest book and walked through as part of their tour of the tomb, built by a 16th century emperor for his deceased wife. One thing appeared to be missing from the visit: monkeys. 🙈
BREAKING NEWS! Ten people were injured on Monday after a car plowed into a carnival parade in the western German town of Volkmarsen, police said, adding that the driver had been arrested. Police declined to say if it was an accident or if the driver had deliberately rammed the car into the crowd, Reuters reported. German news website HNA cited witnesses as saying the driver appeared to have deliberately targeted children and had driven into the crowd “at full throttle”. The incident comes less than a week after a man gunned down 11 people, including himself, in one of the worst racist attacks in Germany since World War Two. Police cars and ambulances rushed to the scene in Volkmarsen, a small town in northern Hesse, 263 miles, 423 km west of Berlin.
The #coronavirus sweeping the planet could be the 'Disease X' which experts have warned about, according to a World Health Organization representative. The name is given to a future, mysterious pathogen which could break out among humans and wreak havoc across the world. SARS-CoV-2 has infected around 80,000 people in the two months since it emerged at an animal market in Wuhan, China in December. It has killed more than 2,600 and can cause severe lung damage and trigger multiple organ failure, mainly among old or weak patients.
