NEW: A Merced County CA deputy was injured during a confrontation at a Merced hospital Nov. 4. Deputies say they recovered three firearms and arrested Jose Vasquez, 26, of Livingston, on suspicion of assault on a peace officer and other offenses.

Deputies contacted Vasquez in the emergency room, and his behavior was consistent with the report deputies received over the phone. The 26-year-old also acted aggressively with deputies and hospital security, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies were able to get Vasquez to leave the building, but the situation escalated as he began to physically resist. While the man resisted, a deputy suffered a significant injury to their hand that may require stitches, law enforcement says.

BREAKING UPDATE: A Lakewood Police agent was killed and another three police agents were injured after a suspect shot at them on a Regional Transportation District bus Thursday evening, the department said. The suspect was also killed by the gunfire. 

Within seconds of police agents contacting the suspect, a man, he started firing on police agents.

Four Lakewood Police agents and one civilian were shot, Romero said. The suspect was also shot and pronounced dead at the scene. He was possibly involved in a hit-and-run earlier in the day, according to Lakewood Police.

All the police agents were taken to the hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead, Romero said. There's no update on the conditions of the other three police agents and civilian injured in the shooting.

BREAKING: Sources confirming to Fox News Digital moments ago that Meghan Markle's father has been arrested in Florida -- over his alleged stash of child pornography.

Thomas Wayne Markle, 82, of Lakeland, Florida, was arrested today on a federal criminal complaint filed in our district that charges him with possession of child pornography, a felony that carries a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
 
An affidavit filed with the complaint details that FBI was notified that Markle possessed child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and rented two storage units in the Los Angeles area. After obtaining a judicially approved warrant, FBI Los Angeles special agents searched the units and seized approximately 78 items, including slides, film negatives, and books that contained suspected CSAM.
 
Three of the images described in the affidavit featured Thomas Markle and minor victims.
 
These allegations are serious and disturbing. We intend to prosecute Markle to the fullest extent of federal law.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: 66-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were found shot in the head inside a Second Avenue building in East Harlem, NYC on Thursday Night.

Sources told ABC7 the woman appeared to be the man's home health aide. No gun was recovered at the scene

Two victims were found on 2md Ave near East 104th Street, at about 8:34 p.m. after a 911 call about a past assault, police said.

EMS pronounced both victims dead at the scene.

No arrests had been made and the investigation was continuing
