Much of the country enjoys a quiet end to the weekend. A Nor'easter developing off the East Coast brings mainly coastal concerns Sunday into early next week. Locally heavy rain is possible in South Florida.

Sometimes home finds you, no matter where you are.

KSP DESI Master Trooper Chris Berry captured this photo of a Kentucky-shaped cloud while in Florida; a reminder that even under different skies, the spirit of the Commonwealth is never far away.

LBPD has seen an increase in cases involving the inhalation of nitrous oxide, commonly known as “NOZ.” Our officers are issuing citations, conducting investigations, and arresting individuals who drive under the influence.

⚠️ Inhaling NOZ can deprive your brain of oxygen, impair judgment, slow reaction times, and cause loss of coordination or even death.

If you’re using NOZ and getting behind the wheel, you’re putting lives at risk & you’ll be arrested.

Make smart choices. Never drive impaired.

Chief McDonnell, my friend and colleague for over 40 years, including the seven years we worked closely together at the LAPD, has been in the face of significant adversity and hostility from the Progressive Left. He has been doing an outstanding job leading the much reduced in size LAPD as it has faced continuous crises over the last several years. Replacing him before the end of his term would create additional crises of monumental proportions.

It is heavily rumored that mayoral candidate Nithya Raman’s choice to replace McDonnell would be the recently defeated progressive left LA District Attorney George Gascon.

On October 10 and 11, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Work Release Program (WRP) conducted a community cleanup along Summit Valley Road in Hesperia.

Participants removed two 40-yard dumpsters worth of trash and 30 abandoned vehicle tires, helping improve the community while fulfilling court-ordered service.

The Work Release Program provides an alternative to incarceration, allowing participants to give back to their communities while maintaining employment, continuing their education, and supporting their families.

This successful cleanup highlights the department’s continued commitment to community partnerships and service.
