Praying for the Milwaukee Police officer who was seriously injured in the line of duty this afternoon.🙏🏻

Milwaukee police said a 22-year-old man tried to disarm an officer during an arrest, failed and then took the officer’s gun magazine from a pouch on his vest and repeatedly struck the officer with it. Police said it caused “substantial injuries” to the officer.

The incident began around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon, when police said the man fled a traffic stop. Officers said the driver crashed into a tree near 48th and Hadley Street and then fled on foot.

When an officer caught up with the suspect, a struggle ensued, according to police. Police said that’s when the 22-year-old tried to disarm the officer and repeatedly struck him with a firearm magazine taken from his vest. Police said additional officers arrived and arrested the suspect.

Multiple firearms and suspected narcotics were recovered from the crashed vehicle, police said.

Do you hate fraud?

If so, I’m calling on you to join me in taking the pledge to protect Americans from fraudsters, by doing everything in your power to ensure that:

1. Vulnerable Americans, such as the elderly, indigent, and disabled, are protected from fraudsters who seek to prey on them.

2. Taxpayer-funded programs serve law-abiding Americans, not illegal aliens or fraudsters.

3. Taxpayer-funded benefits are not used by fraudsters to buy mansions or luxury cars.

4. Public agencies and officials work tirelessly and aggressively, coordinating at all levels of government, to stop fraud before payments go out the door.

5. Fraudsters face justice for their crimes in a court of law. Convicted fraudsters will be imprisoned and barred from ever receiving another penny of taxpayer dollars.

6. Illegal alien fraudsters are promptly arrested, prosecuted, imprisoned, and deported, never able to take advantage of Americans’ generosity again.

NEW: California-based federal judge Jinsook Ohta (Biden appointee) has ruled that the U.S. State Department must reinstate its Diversity Immigrant Visa lottery for fiscal year 2027 by Sunday.

The program offers permanent residency in the U.S. to 50,000+ applicants every year, typically from countries with lower immigration to the U.S. Many come from Africa.

The Trump admin suspended the program last year after a Portuguese national who came to the U.S. via the diversity lottery was suspected of a deadly shooting at Brown University & the murder of a MIT professor before taking his own life.
