NEW: A pilot made an emergency landing on the shoulder of I-69 near I-75 Saturday afternoon after the plane’s engine stalled while approaching Bishop Airport in Flint Township. The pilot was alone aboard, and no injuries or vehicle damage were reported. The FAA and airport officials are investigating.

Long Beach Peninsula boardwalk damage update. After getting hammered by the high tide and growing swell yesterday, city crews are doing everything they can to protect the homes that are still standing.

The peninsula itself is blocked off and only residents, city, and law enforcement are allowed on.

Nithya Raman can't keep story straight on LAPD chief she vowed to fire.

LA mayoral hopeful Nithya Raman gave mixed messages on whether she would replace LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell before his term ends in 2030.

During an interview with ABC 7, the communist city councilmember insisted that booting Chief Jim McDonnell was not on her list of priorities if she beats incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

“You know, replacing the chief of police is not on my 100-day agenda. Restoring trust with our law enforcement and the public is on my 100-day agenda,” Raman said, adding that McDonnell has not “met the moment."

Please, praying for the two Pueblo Police officers who were shot in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

On October 10, 2026, at approximately 11:09 p.m., Pueblo Police Communications Center received a call for a home invasion in the 1600 block of Gaylord Avenue. While officers were responding, they were advised that the suspect had fled the scene in a Dodge Ram.

Officers located the suspect vehicle at Jones Avenue and Brimmer Avenue and initiated a pursuit. The suspect abandoned his vehicle in the 0-100 block of Regency Boulevard and fled on foot, entering an apartment complex. Officers followed the suspect to an upstairs apartment and began knocking on the door, announcing themselves as police. The suspect opened the door, and an exchange of gunfire occurred.

Two officers were injured, one officer was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was treated by medical personnel and pronounced deceased on scene.
