BREAKING: 14 people were intercepted aboard a vessel south of Newport Beach, CA according to CBP.

Officials say the boat was carrying 11 adult men, 2 adult women and 1 juvenile male. All identified themselves as Mexican nationals, Matthew Seedorff reports.

One person was treated for possible dehydration/seasickness. The vessel was seized and all 14 were turned over to Border Patrol.

Officer Walker was born in Van Nuys, raised in Mission Hills, and graduated from Bishop Alemany High School before earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from San Diego State University.

He began his law enforcement career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, serving approximately nine years as a Deputy Sheriff with assignments at Men’s Central Jail, Transit Services Bureau, Lost Hills Station, and the Bureau of Labor Relations and Compliance.

Officer Walker later joined the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Bureau of Investigation, where he most recently served as a Senior Investigator specializing in securities fraud and environmental crime investigations.

Officer Walker is beginning the next chapter of his career with SVPD and will enter the Field Training Program with Senior Officer Nicholson.
