https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DQcuAZ52C/

Tunnel2Towers board member Brad Blakeman: "Thank you to all those who made today possibleโ€” POTUS, his dedicated staff, SecretService, support agencies of the White House, his Cabinet, the exec branch & the NatlParkService. We thank you so much for all you do for our heroes"

POTUS: "On 9/11, nearly 3,000 precious souls were stolen from us โ€” killed by evil terrorists at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on Flight 93. All of these years later, we gather on another Tuesday morning in September to reaffirm the sacred vow we made a quarter of a century ago: WE WILL NEVER FORGET."

POTUS: "This battered piece of steel here today on the Ellipse is a reminder that America is blessed with a strength no fire can consume, no evil can conquer, and no terror can destroy."

POTUS: "The 16,000-pound beam lifted from the wreckage of the South Tower will forever testify to the courage and resilience and spirit of a city and a nation that saw our homeland struck, our towers knocked down and stood back up stronger, more determined, and more united."

POTUS recognizes the remarkable First Responders who sacrificed their own lives and wellbeing for others on September 11, 2001.

POTUS tells the story of the โ€œMan in the Red Bandana,โ€ a 24-year-old rookie equities trader in the South Tower who heroically gave his own life to save 18 others on September 11, 2001.

POTUS posthumously awards the Presidential Medal of Freedom to hero Welles Crowther โ€” accepted by his mother, Alison, and his sister, Paige โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Wellesโ€™s mom, Alison Crowther: "This means the world to me, my daughters, Paige and Honor, and our entire family. This will be treasured for generations to come." โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

WTH?!? Apparently, you no longer have to be a U.S. citizen to apply to become a police officer in Danbury, Connecticut.

The City Council voted 18-2 to open applications to lawful permanent residents and DACA recipients, bringing the cityโ€™s rules in line with Connecticutโ€™s police certification standards.

Before everyone starts screaming that Danbury just eliminated its standards, thatโ€™s not what happened.

Applicants still have to pass the same background investigation, psychological evaluation, medical screening, drug testing, academy training and certification requirements as everyone else.

Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour says the change is about widening the applicant pool at a time when departments across the country are struggling to recruit qualified officers.

Connecticut already opened police certification eligibility to lawful permanent residents in 2020 and DACA recipients in 2025, so Danbury is catching its local ordinance up with the state.

But this is still a pretty significant shift in what used to be one of the most basic requirements for putting on a badge. This CANNOT stand.

You are not alone. Your story matters. Your life matters. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿฉต

This Suicide Prevention Month, remember:

Check in on your partners, coworkers, friends, and loved ones.
Listen without judgment. Sometimes being present is enough.
Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
You donโ€™t have to have all the answers to be there for someone.
No one should have to face their hardest moments alone.

One conversation can create hope. One check in can make a difference. One person caring can remind someone that tomorrow is worth seeing.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Reach out. Check in. Stay connected. Together, we can help save lives.

A New Jersey school district is being SUED IN FEDERAL COURT over a policy that can keep parents from being told when their child changes names or pronouns at school. It's ABOUT TIME this nonsense is put to rest.

According to the lawsuit, students can use a different name and pronouns at school without their parents being notified, access bathrooms and locker rooms based on gender identity, participate in sports under those policies and, in some circumstances, be referred to outside organizations without parents knowing what is happening.

Moms for Liberty and two anonymous parents are suing the School District of the Chathams over Policy 5145.7, arguing that the district has crossed the line from protecting students into cutting parents out of decisions involving their own children.

The parents argue that schools should not be able to maintain one identity for a child at school while deliberately keeping the childโ€™s parents unaware of it.
The district says the policy is consistent with New Jersey anti-discrimination law and state guidance.

Now a federal judge is being asked to decide just how far a public school can go in withholding information about a childโ€™s gender identity from that childโ€™s parents.

We know the answer: protecting a studentโ€™s privacy can NEVER include intentionally excluding parents.
