This shouldn't surprise anyone: Abdul El-Sayed's campaign had multiple events publicly scheduled for Sept. 11. A 9/11 remembrance wasn't one of them.

His campaign calendar listed outreach at Grand Rapids' Fiesta Mexicana, a farmers market and the Allegan County Fair, along with a stop on El-Sayed's "Shouldn't Be This Hard" tour.

You know what REALLY shouldn't be this hard? Getting voters to see that El-Sayed is a Muslim progressive whose campaign apparently didn’t think memorializng 9/11 should be a priority.

Police drones are now tracking grab-and-run thieves — this one chased two suspects through a Ross parking lot in Concord, California.

BREAKING! Cargo Aircraft Accident in Miami: The Boeing 767 cargo aircraft operating Amazon Prime Air flight 2I7298 from San Juan to Miami, registration N1997A, overran the runway after landing and came to a stop on unpaved ground beyond the runway.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene following the accident.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a full ground stop has been issued at Miami International Airport "while first responders assess the scene.

Atleast 5 people have been killed, with another 5 injured as a result of the Amazon Air 21 Crash in Miami this afternoon when the plane skidded off airport property into a parking lot during landing.

On September 3, 2024, Officer Zane Coolidge was shot while trying to stop a suspect who had been attempting to break into a vehicle. On September 6, 2024, he succumbed to his injuries.

Officer Coolidge was 29 years old at the time of his death and had served Phoenix for five years. He was survived by his wife and daughter.

I’m deeply saddened by the passing of FDNY Lieutenant Gerard M. Reilly of Ladder 22, who died on September 3 after a courageous battle with a World Trade Center-related illness.

Lieutenant Reilly dedicated 21 years of service to the FDNY and the people of New York City. His passing is another painful reminder that, 25 years later, we continue to lose the heroes who answered the call on September 11, 2001.

My deepest condolences and prayers are with Lieutenant Reilly’s family, friends, fellow firefighters, and all who knew and served alongside him.

We will never forget his service and sacrifice.

UPDATE: Earlier this week Compton city officials installed rubber medians in some of their most notorious hotspots for street takeovers to deter future sideshows.

SICK: A former Democratic Party of Virginia finance director got caught in an FBI sting involving someone he believed was a 9-year-old boy. IS TEN YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON ENOUGH?

Randon Alexander Sprinkle contacted someone on a dating app whom he believed was the child's father, but the person on the other end was actually an undercover FBI agent.

Federal prosecutors say Sprinkle expressed a s*xual interest in children, sent child s*xual abuse material and discussed traveling to Washington, D.C., to s*xually abuse the fictitious child.

When agents later searched his Richmond home, they recovered dozens of child s*xual abuse files from his phone and computer, including material involving toddlers.

Sprinkle had previously served as a finance director for the Democratic Party of Virginia and held leadership roles with Young Democrats in Virginia.

A federal judge sentenced him Thursday to TEN YEARS. We have some other ideas about appropriate consequences for this level of depravity.

UPDATE: NY Attorney General Letitia James is under fire after her office opened an investigation into the NYPD officers who shot a knife-wielding woman in Times Square — rather than addressing the mental health crisis that allegedly led to the fatal stabbing of a Bank of America executive.

The victim, Erin Piacenti, was a new mother in her first week back from maternity leave. Her attacker, Pamela Cisneros, had a documented history of mental health crises, including a 2019 suicide attempt on subway tracks. Police knew who she was. The system failed to act.

Republican AG candidate Saritha Komatireddy ripped James' response, saying investigating the cops who stopped the attack while ignoring the broken mental health pipeline "fails everyone."

She's proposing a new Office of Civil Commitment that pairs law enforcement with physicians to involuntarily commit dangerous individuals — something she says doesn't exist anywhere in New York State right now.

Residents in a Brentwood neighborhood say they are increasingly concerned about a woman who has been seen repeatedly defecating on sidewalks and exhibiting erratic behavior.

The woman is well known to some residents, who say she has been in the neighborhood for more than a decade.

HOW DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN?! A felony suspect somehow made it into a POLICE HOLDING CELL with a gun still on him, and an officer ended up sh*t.

Police arrested the 31-year-old suspect in Pittsburg, California, Thursday and brought him to headquarters for booking.

Law-enforcement sources told CBS Bay Area that officers either failed to properly search him or did not search him at all.

Hours later, when two officers came to transport him to county jail, police sources say the suspect pulled the hidden g*n and a struggle followed. The weapon fired, with the bullet reportedly passing through the suspect's leg before striking an officer in the abdomen.

The officer required surgery and remains in serious but stable condition. The suspect is also expected to survive.

Search procedures are written in blood for a reason, and one missed gun turned a police station into a shooting scene.

Historic change is underway for this @FBI.
